Word of the Week #22
It’s half term, and we’re going to Butlins today. So what other word could I use to sum up my week than
Last weekend, my parents were over from France and my sisters were about too. We went to the Hop Farm for a visit and while the men in the family went off to play on some hovercraft, my sisters, mum and I caught up on each other’s lives while the girls played in the lovely playground and softplay area. Then we spent a lovely afternoon in Broadstairs on Sunday and the girls went up to London for the day on Monday to see their uncle and visit the SeaLife Aquarium. Tuesday we had our playdate friends over and had an indoor picnic and yesterday we met up with my sister again and her friends and their children for a fantastic afternoon at the beach.
And today, we’re off on a real holiday. Our first proper holiday as a family (although we have been to stay with my parents in France and had a couple of theme park breaks in the past too). But Butlins, well that’s a traditional family holiday like no other. We can’t wait! Bunny and Bear are OBSESSED with Scooby Doo and would watch the DVDs 24/7 if we let them, so we’re most excited about seeing it live tonight. Although we are well-prepared for a long queue!
Back to work and reality on Monday, but for now, I’m revelling in the holiday spirit!
