Christmas Countdown | Week 4

So that’s it! Another Christmas Countdown is over and Fenton and Mo, our Christmas Elves have gone home to the North Pole to help Santa prepare for his busiest night of the year. But before, they went, they’ve encouraged us to have more fun as Christmas gets closer.

…stroked donkeys at a local Christmas street market…

…toured the local area to see the best Christmas light displays we could find…

…with warming hot chocolates opposite the stunning marina display…

Meanwhile, the elves have been up to the usual…

…and then as their finale, Fenton was sat on the elf potty having done elf poos (mini marshmallows), while naughty Mo had been playing with the loo roll. Poor Santa!

And then it was suddenly time to say goodbye for another year. Bunny began getting emotional about it before bed the night before and there were the anticipated tears when the moment to give them hugs came. And Bear gave Mo the biggest cuddle!

But these were replaced by smiles when they discovered the Christmas Eve parcels they’d left behind with Princess Sofia pyjamas, a Christmas jumper to wear tomorrow and Christmas books,

including this beautiful one from Parragon Books that is certainly going to be one to treasure for many years to come.

They watched Santa’s Portable North Pole video from his sleigh, and then marvelled as they saw his sleigh flying past in the night sky (thanks ISS for being visible again this year!) and sprinkling reindeer food along the garden path.

mince pie milk and carrot

At bedtime, they left out a carrot, mince pie, and some milk before laying stockings on their bed ready for the Big Man’s arrival.
