Bunny & Bear Style Files: January
As I mentioned last month, I’ve been working at better coordinating the girls’ wardrobes and had a little bit of a splurge in the January sales to get started.
Luckily, Bunny manages to make even the most bizarre combinations look fashionable so it’s hard to really get it wrong, but it’s been good to know that there is always a top to match the skirt or trousers she wants to wear now.
Here are some of the outfits we’ve put together over January.
I spotted this 4funkyflavours dress in the sale on a site when I was looking for a gift for my brand new niece and completely fell in love with it. Unfortunately they didn’t have Bunny’s size so I didn’t get it, but continued to think about it all the time. I knew I had to buy it for her, so found it elsewhere and have not regretted the purchase. I think she looks fab in the retro print!
My sister bought this Little Bird by Jools Oliver dress for Bear last Christmas when she was nearly 2 and a quarter. Despite being age 2-3, it only just fits her now, a year later. I really love the simplicity of the design with the ditsy flower print and think it is a classic little girl dress.
Sometimes I manage to get the girls to wear trousers (usually by promising a trip to the park) and I think these cords by La Redoute are the perfect alternative to jeans, yet just as versatile. They also feel warmer when it’s chilly outside!
While Bunny has the legs to pull it off, a La Redoute cord miniskirt is just perfect with thick patterned tights. The beanie hat and mp3 player are necessary accessories of course!
Another simple design but the denim colouring of the spotty material on this La Redoute dress really complements the bright pink of the cardigan.
Sometimes I don’t have the energy to fight their outfit choices. Pretty Debenhams party dresses with snow boots on a day out probably wouldn’t have been my selection, but they were happy! And they both look so cute in the large floral prints I couldn’t resist!
