When I started blogging, I hadn’t realised how well bloggers and brands fitted together, but it wasn’t long before I started noticing the reviews, the sponsored posts and the amazing events some of my favourite bloggers were mentioning in their posts.
But the ones that stood out were the brand ambassadors. These were bloggers who were so taken with a brand that they were working with it for the long term. I am extremely brand loyal so this struck me as a perfect collaboration. If I like something, I want to tell the world about it after all!
Earlier this year, there was suddenly a lot of talk about Butlins and Center Parcs. It turns out that both work with blogger ambassadors. What a wonderful idea, I thought. I love the idea that Butlins is trying to raise its reputation after years of being a poor man’s Center Parcs. But why do Center Parcs need to promote themselves? Aren’t they already well-known and successful?
Actually, in this very paragraph, I’ve answered my own question. I’ve always looked on Center Parcs as the domain of the yummy mummy and her Barbour wearing family, taking short breaks around the ski and continental beach holidays. Something to aspire to, but not somewhere for my family as we are. Yet isn’t that a bit short-sighted and even selling us a bit short? Why shouldn’t we have a forest holiday and wake up to rabbits and deer peering in at our windows? With sub tropical swimming centres that cater for all ages?
It wasn’t the cost putting me off as it’s no more than you’d expect for the accommodation standard. It was literally the reputation. I just didn’t think someone that didn’t own a pair of Hunter’s would fit in. But then friends went, and I read some of the ambassador posts and realised how wrong I was.
If I could afford a holiday, there was no reason why I couldn’t go to Center Parcs. And this is why I’d love for our family to be chosen as Center Parcs Family Bloggers in association with Tots 100. We are just your typical young family (well, the children at least!). We don’t have a high income but we get by and are happy. And when it comes to holidays, we want them to be something really special that we’ll remember forever. And a holiday at Center Parcs would tick that box!
It would be “Brilliant!” if you chose us!
