A funny week with some big life things happening as mentioned in yesterday’s Word of the Week post. But there’s still been time for some fun!
Took the girls for a morning stroll into Broadstairs as the forecast was for rain later. Which never came, but we had fun as we wandered along the promenade following babycinos on the terrace balcony.
Another lovely day. Bunny was showing off her new-found excitement at jumping off the top of the slide and then decided to calm down by admiring the few flowers we have that are defying the weeds. She loved the furry texture of the lily’s spadix!
We had our weekly playdate at our favourite softplay, but after a very bad night’s sleep, Bear was in meltdown mode and I was beyond patience with her. She stood like this the entire time her sister and their friends ate dinner, whining and screeching. She cheered up eventually thankfully!
Our caterpillars are growing so fast now that I’m sure it can’t be long until they’re ready to form chrysalides. Watching the Very Hungry Caterpillar up close is fascinating!
Bunny woke in the night with a sore throat and earache and by morning had a temperature above 39. So we kept her off school and gave her medicine to help with the pain. As soon as it worked, she and her sister were off playing dress up and having fun, but the rosy cheeks show the truth!
Bunny was sick overnight, but told me she felt much better in the morning. As it was an INSET day at her school anyway, she had a quiet morning while I was at work and then we went to a friend’s house for a playdate. I should have taken a photo of the amazing chocolate cake one of the other mums made for us, but didn’t as I was too busy tucking in, so here’s a super-cute (well, I think so) photo of Bear in her new dress that she chose.
My sisters came down from London so we made the most of some time with the aunties with lunch (and Pimms!) in a very warm and sunny beer garden, followed by fairground rides and babycinos. A really good day, and just what I needed!
